New Courses - Sugar Decoration Workshops
Starting after Half Term - A programme of Sugar Decoration workshops. All workshops will run on Saturdays from 10am - 3.30pm at Putteridge High School, Putteridge Road, Luton and will cost £41 each.

Please note that materials and equipment are NOT included in the cost of the course. For some workshops a list of materials and equipment will be provided for the student to obtain and for some workshops materials will be available for purchase from the tutor. Due to the cost of chocolate this will be highest for the chocolate work shop.

Royal Icing Workshop - AC0072R - 22/10/11 Techniques covered include making royal icing, coating a board, various piping techniques depending on the student’s skill that will include line work (including graduated line) and writing styles. |

Modelling ‘Little People’ - AC0079R - 26/11/11 This workshop will cover a range of sugar paste modelling techniques that could be used to create fairies, elves and other ‘little people’ |

Cake shaping and sculpting. - AC0099R - 21/01/12 In this workshop the student will learn the basic techniques to shape and sculpt a cake and coat in sugar paste. The workshop will also cover some decorative techniques to complete the cake. |

Chocolate workshop. - AC0108R - 25/02/12 In this workshop the student will learn to coat a cake with chocolate ganache, and to complete the decoration using hand moulded chocolate roses and chocolate cut outs. |

Modelling with Marzipan. - AC0111R - 24/03/12 This workshop will cover a range of modelling techniques suitable for use with marzipan including hand moulded animals and flowers. |

Decorating cupcakes. - AC0123R - 21/04/12 In this workshop the student will learn to use butter cream and sugar paste to create a variety of decorative techniques suitable for topping cupcakes. |
