Learners completing a Computer and Technology course will receive a USB memory stick (with the exception of Vista) while stocks last.

Computers from Scratch: For complete beginners: Covering mouse use, keyboard and basic word processing. A gentle paced course with a friendly, fun atmosphere.


Internet and Email from Scratch: For complete Internet novices. Learn how to navigate
around the internet, find information using search engines, create and use email. A gentle paced course with time to practice.

Digital Cameras from Scratch: Introduction to digital photography following the process of using a digital camera to printing the image. Own camera not required.

Web Page Design from Scratch: Learn to create your own web page and get tips on how to launch it onto the Internet. Using HTML

Vista: One-off session looking at the new Microsoft operating system, Vista. This course is
at the cutting edge e:Learning Centre in Sundon Park, an experience in itself!

More Creative Computing: Experiment and explore modern technology and software in a safe, friendly and supportive atmosphere, using computers, digital cameras and other equipment, i.e. scanners, Cameras, etc

Movie Maker: Create mini movies by importing music, images and short videos. Burn your work onto a CD and take it home to astound your family and friends.

Burning Your Slides Onto CD: Scan your slides and save them onto CD.

Enhancing Your Photographs (using Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop Elements): Use computer software to resize, remove red eye, scratches and manipulate digital images.

Qualification Courses

Start IT: A accredited course covering basic file management and word processing.


ECDL Level 1 Certificate: British Computer Society course covering modules in: Using IT Systems, Operating a Computer and Internet, Intranets & Emails. Like CLAiT, ECDL is a nationally recognised qualification.

Please note: If you do not wish to take a qualification but would like to take part in these courses you are welcome to do so. However, as qualification courses carry additional funding then you may find that there is an increased fee, please contact us for details.

Qualification Workshop ( ECDL): A fantastic opportunity to learn at your own pace, in your own time – supported by our learning materials and support sessions where you can get help from qualified teachers. We offer 2 two-hour sessions a week:

Tuesdays and Wednesday mornings and Thursday evenings.
We offer ECDL levels 1 & 2 and ECDL Advanced Level 3 via Flexible / Accessible courses. We also offer test only facilities.
