Introduction to Childcare
You will gain an overview of working in a childcare / learning environment. You will look at how to provide for children’s physical needs through activities, creativity and music.
Level 1 Award in Caring for Children
This qualification provides an introduction to caring for children and helps develop the skills and knowledge you need to care for children. You will be introduced to a wide range of topics including child development, engaging children through activities and personal development.
Level 2 Certificate for Children and Young People’s Workforce
This qualification is for those who work, or are about to work, as a nursery assistant, crèche worker or special educational needs assistant in a supporting role. You want to work with children, but you'll generally work under supervision. Topics covered include understanding child and young person development, communication, safeguarding, health and safety, assessment and planning. This is a work-based qualification and you will be assessed whilst working with children, young people, their families and colleagues.
Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner (EYE)
This two year course is the recognised qualification for learners wanting to work as Early Years Educators in England. Learners on this course will be required to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of early years education and care, including that they can support and promote children's early education and development, plan and provide effective care enabling children to progress, make accurate and productive use of assessment, develop effective and informed practice, safeguard and promote the health, safety and welfare of children, work in partnership with the key person, colleagues, parents and/or carers or other professionals.
