Apprentice recruitment with Luton Adult Learning is on a rolling programme to meet your needs as an employer so there’s no need to wait until term starts to think about hiring an apprentice.

The recruitment process is flexible and tailored to your needs - some employers will use our recruitment advertising services whereas we can work more closely with others to support in shortlisting, interviewing and carrying out bespoke initial assessments prior to interview.

All job vacancies are advertised locally on our website, Luton Council’s job site and nationally on https://www.gov.uk/apply-apprenticeship.

A member of our team will meet with you to discuss your business needs, talking through what suitable standards are available, ensuring the right fit for the job role.  The meeting will also explore tasks that the apprentice will be required to carry out, matching these to the proposed standard to guarantee that the level is correct and there is ample opportunity for the apprentice to gather the evidence required.  New organisations or new managers are offered support with ‘Managing new Apprentices’ workshops.

Once on programme, our Programme Leads schedule regular contact with employers to monitor progress and there is an open line of communication to them for employers to discuss any issues.  We will take your apprentice though the journey from signing up, training, working towards achieving qualifications where required and preparation for end point assessment.

Although there is not always a guarantee of employment at the end of an apprenticeship, we do aim to give apprentices all the skills, knowledge, behaviours and experience to be able to secure further employment and will offer careers advice and CV writing guidance to any apprentice coming to the end of their contract.
