
This is a free series of online short courses that can be completed individually or as a whole course over 5 weeks. It is intended to support anyone who wants to develop and improve their money management skills.
Please note our teacher is not a debt or financial adviser but will be able to support you to be able to access and use lots of information available to you. You will not be expected to share any personal financial information with the teacher or others in the class. You will be given tools and information to help you to manage your money more effectively.
What will I learn?
Budgeting Skills (2 sessions)
By managing your money effectively, you should be able to keep on top of your bills and save some money. The best way to manage your money is to set up a budget and regularly review it when things change.
During this short course you will learn to:

recognise the benefits of setting up and regularly reviewing a budget

set up and review your own budget

identify at least two ways where you might be able to reduce expense and make savings
Making Savings (2 sessions)
During this short course you will learn about:

how to use the internet effectively to help you to make many different savings

websites you can use to find help and advice on money matters

how managing and maintaining a healthy diet can also help you to save money
Dealing with a personal money crisis (1 session)
During this workshop you will learn about:

how you can make a positive start to improving a personal money crisis

where you can go to get good debt advice

how to start prioritising debts
Through taking part in this course you will find that your own confidence and self-esteem in managing your money will improve.
