Time to Change – Time to Talk
Our learners and staff joined Luton Adult Learning’s Mental Health First Aiders for this years’ Time to Talk Day.
Tea, biscuits and a friendly face were the right ingredients for a successful event. Over 40 people came along for a chat. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate.
Mental health problems affect one in four of us, yet people are still afraid to talk about it. Time to Talk Day encouraged participants to talk openly about mental health.
Having these events and encouraging conversations about mental health helps break down stereotypes, improve relationships, aid recovery and take the stigma out of something that affects us all. There are lots of different ways to have a conversation about mental health. And you don’t have to be an expert to talk.
