Luton Adult Learning are celebrating Volunteers’ Week 2026

On Thursday the 4th of June 2026 Luton Adult Learning are holding an event to celebrate Volunteers’ Week. This event is for Luton Adult Learning staff and learners and will run from 11am until 1pm.

Volunteers' Week is an annual UK-wide campaign running from the 1st to the 7th of June. It is dedicated to recognising, celebrating, and thanking the millions of people who dedicate their time and effort to volunteering for charities, grassroots causes, and community services.

Representatives from the following organisations will be attending the event:

  • Bushmead Community Hub

  • Citizens Advice Luton

  • Community Voluntary Service Beds

  • Flying Start

  • GoodGym

  • Luton Foodbank

  • The Scout Association

The event will be an opportunity for learners and staff to find out how they could benefit from volunteering, find out about the types of opportunities that are available locally and see how they can make a real difference.

Luton Adult Learning will be promoting the ‘Get into Volunteering’ workshop that we regularly run. This workshop provides an opportunity to identify your current skills and interests, explore your interests and reasons why volunteering is a possible option and discuss local volunteering opportunities.
