Luton Adult Learning celebrated Volunteers’ Week 2026

On Thursday the 4th of June 2026 Luton Adult Learning held an event to celebrate Volunteers’ Week.

Volunteers' Week is an annual UK-wide campaign which ran from the 1st to the 7th of June 2026. It is dedicated to recognising, celebrating, and thanking the millions of people who dedicate their time and effort to volunteering for charities, grassroots causes, and community services.

Representatives from the following organisations attended our event:

  • Bushmead Community Hub

  • Citizens Advice Luton

  • Community Voluntary Service Beds

  • GoodGym

  • Luton Foodbank

  • The Scout Association

The event was a fantastic opportunity for learners and staff to find out how they could benefit from volunteering, find out about the types of opportunities that are available locally and see how they could make a real difference.

Luton Adult Learning promoted the ‘Get into Volunteering’ workshop that we regularly run. This workshop provides an opportunity to identify your current skills and interests, explore your interests and reasons why volunteering is a possible option and discuss local volunteering opportunities.
