We held an event to celebrate the achievements of our recent cohort of Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care Learners

On Monday the 22nd of December 2025 we celebrated the success of learners that have recently achieved the Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care.

The Level 2 Certificate in Adult Social Care is a UK qualification for new or aspiring care workers, covering essential knowledge such as duty of care, safeguarding, equality and diversity and person-centred care, often reflecting the Care Certificate standards. It is a practical, competence-based qualification, assessed via portfolio/observation.

This is the first time Luton Adult Learning has run this course. The course can be completed in 6-9 months. This intake of fourteen students completed the course in just 6 months.

The event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the success of these learners who have shown hard work and dedication throughout the course. They have shared knowledge and experience and learnt a great deal from each other.

Julie Marshall, Adult Social Care Programme Lead & Wellbeing Officer at Luton Adult Learning said:

“Observations have clearly demonstrated care at its best. The learners have shown nothing but commitment not only to their service users, but also to their employer in completing this qualification.”

When asked what have you learnt from the course, one learner said:

“Doing this qualification has shown me that this is not just work, we are really having an impact on people’s lives. We touch the lives of the service user.”

Congratulations to all of the learners from Luton Adult Learning.

The next cohort for this course will start on the 20th of January 2026.
